In her new memoir, UCLA Head of Piano Inna Faliks takes readers on a profound journey from her early days as a young prodigy in Soviet Ukraine to becoming a world-renowned concert pianist; navigating the challenges of immigration, assimilation in America, and years of intense musical training, all framed by a love story of cinematic proportions.
This special book release event, part of the final day of our current exhibitions, will not only provide insights into Faliks’ personal and artistic evolution but also treat attendees to a captivating performance where Faliks will play personally meaningful pieces reflecting key moments of her story.
