Roberta Gentry is a Los Angeles-based painter who creates paintings that weave together concepts and imagery from botany, science fiction, and medieval iconography. Her work serves as a meditative exploration of how we construct mythologies to interpret lived experience, continually transforming historical symbols into new visual narratives.
Recent solo exhibitions include The Walled Garden at Massey Klein Gallery, New York (2025). Recent group exhibitions include North Loop West (Los Angeles), a two-person exhibition at My Pet Ram (New York), Reynolds Gallery (Richmond, VA), and Bozomag (Los Angeles).
Gentry received a BFA from the University of Arizona and an MFA from the University at Albany, SUNY. Since 2015, she has been an active member of Monte Vista Projects, an artist-run exhibition space in Los Angeles.
Chris Ulivo (b.1977, Brooklyn, NY) lives and works in Ventura, CA. Ulivo received a BFA from the Tyler School of Art, Temple University, and an MFA from Rhode Island School of Design. His egg tempera paintings, imagine the confluences and collisions of fate, myth, personal lineage and the unintended consequences of unlimited wish fulfillment.
