Did the artist who has had major exhibitions at the Getty, LACMA, and the Whitney open a gallery? Did the gallerist Tim Hawkinson have a not-so-secret art making career for decades? Is there a Tim Hawkinson who is also an astronaut? I heard there was a Tim Hawkinson getting an MFA in Maine? Is there truth to the rumor about a Tim Hawkinson running a bakery in Des Moines?  

Who is it we see in these portrait paintings? Is that what Tim Hawkinson really looks like? How old is Tim Hawkinson? Is he really that handsome? How many Tim Hawkinsons are we talking about here? Do you have any proof? Can I see some identification and paperwork? Does any international authority keep track of these things, or do we just have a real collective problem with all these Tim Hawkinson(s) running rampant?
