Cammie Staros: Pompeii

Nazarian / Curcio is pleased to present Pompeii, a new installation of free-standing and wall-based sculptures by Los Angeles–based artist Cammie Staros, marking her fourth exhibition with the gallery.

In Pompeii, Staros invokes the ancient city’s catastrophic destruction as a lens to consider contemporary crises. Drawing on classical craft and archaeological imagery, the works meditate on collapse and preservation, reframing the precariousness of empire amid climate change and political unrest.
