Weinstein Gallery is pleased to host Dominique Gallery for their debut presentation of Myke Wright's ASSORTED FLAVORS, opening January 28 and on view through February 14, 2026 at the new Weinstein Gallery LA Project space in East Hollywood. The exhibition is curated by Dominique Clayton independent curator and founder of Dominique Gallery.
Wright’s practice spans painting, design, music composition, performance, and writing all connected through rhythm, passion, color, humor and emotion. This new body of work, crafted over the last two years, consists of paintings, sculptures, audio visual material and custom merchandise. Drawing inspiration from the magic of the female figure and form, Wright created paintings using a pop art palette and comic book and graffiti style composition. However, in a step away from pop legends like Lichtenstein who often highlighted women in distress or dismay, Wright’s women appear like superheroes, femme fatales, and vixens, a far cry from the weeping and worry. Wright also distorts color and incorporates silhouettes similar to artists like Banksy and Todd James adding a playful anonymity and power to each figure. ASSORTED FLAVORS marks Myke Wright's first solo exhibition.
