Lightscape is a multimedia artwork created by artist Doug Aitken in collaboration with the Los Angeles Master Chorale and the Los Angeles Philharmonic. Lightscape is a shapeshifting act of contemporary storytelling that unfolds in various stages.
Following the premiere of the live-to-picture concert experience at Walt Disney Concert Hall, Lightscape takes shape as a large-scale multi-screen art installation in Marciano Art Foundation’s Theater Gallery and will be activated weekly with musical performances organized by the Los Angeles Master Chorale, the Los Angeles Philharmonic and Doug Aitken Workshop. The project will culminate in the release of a feature-length film.
