About Peter Shire -
Peter Shire was born in Echo Park, Los Angeles, where he still resides. He never attended school more than four miles from his home. He is a graduate of Chouinard Art Institute. Without really leaving Echo Park, he has worked and exhibited around the world.
About Hunter Drohojowska Philip -
Hunter Drohojowska-Philp (DRO-HO-YO-SKA) is an Emmy-winning writer and critic who has written many books including Rebels in Paradise: The Los Angeles Art Scene and the 1960s. However, her first book was on Peter Shire, who she has been writing about since 1980.
