Join us in person for an artist to artist discussion with Francesca Lalanne and Cindy Bonaparte.
Francesca's work draws inspiration from those engaged in acts of labor, not merely as burdens to bear, but as sacred rituals of caring, and serving. By engraving solid surfaces such as metal, she seeks to immortalize the value of these individuals. Cindy Bonaparte is a visual artist and community educator engaged in Eastern and Afro-indigenous healing philosophies. Her work prioritizes an uncommodified relationship with the land through cultivating a sense of identity and belonging to home.
Presented in conjunction with Francesca's current solo exhibitions: Guardians of the Dew.
