Inglewood Public Art : Tom Van Sant’s The Written Word

The Word is art in Inglewood, and it’s on the Library’s walls.

Join us on Saturday September 21 at 1:30 p.m. for a walking tour of The Written Word by artist,  researcher and scientist Tom Van Sant at Inglewood Public Library, 101 W. Manchester Blvd., Inglewood CA 90301.

Artist and public art catalyst Helen Lessick will lead a free walking tour of Mr. Van Sant’s public art treatment of the Library and leadership in Inglewood’s civic center art in architecture process. Visitors to the Civic Center are intrigued with the symbols on the Library’s unique exteriors, especially the five-story column on the Manchester Boulevard façade. Helen and Janet Owen Driggs will discuss art on the library and the library in the art of nationally noted artist Tom Van Sant.
